A more authentic choice of a floating market – Amphawa market. It was almost 2 hours (with traffic) from the city centre of Bangkok, but well worth a visit, just to see the livelihood of fresh seafood produces and possibly envision what it looked like mid 17th century till now.

We took an hour boat trip and that gave us a nice glimpse on the entire size of the floating market as well as part of the floating villages not far away.

Would be back again the next time to have a seafood meal along the canel.
